Delegation Server Installation Workflow

Delegation servers are managed by the Core Server. The Delegation Servers are directly responsible for all processing related to the devices, including processing of print jobs, image conversion and delivery of scanned documents, and processing of information obtained from the devices.

If installing two or more Delegation Servers, you can create a Print Resilience Database to share print jobs among the servers. Complete the instructions in Create a Print Resilience Database prior to installing the Delegation Servers. Within the installer, you need to enter the DS service account information.

When you are installing the Delegation Server manually, you will follow this order of operations in the Installer. If you prefer a silent installation, refer to Install On-premise SLNX Silently or Install Cloud SLNX Silently.
